I studied the BE/ME in Electronic and Computer Engineering from 2013-2017.
I’m currently working as a Software Engineer for Jaguar Land Rover, based in Shannon, Co. Clare.
One of my favourite things about studying at UL was the campus. The facilities are excellent; from the labs and workshops, to the different places to eat and drink on campus.
The technology and engineering industry is constantly changing and growing, making it a very exiting area to work in. This course gave me the skills and knowledge to pursue a career in software engineering. My course also included cooperative placement for a semester, which provided fantastic industry experience, and was a huge advantage when applying for jobs after college.
The mission of the Department is the pursuit of excellence in teaching and research in the area of Information Communication Technology (ICT).
Lubna Luxmi Dhirani, postdoctoral researcher in the Dept. of E&CE is the First Women In Engineering (WIE) Ambassador from Ireland in the IEEE WIE (UK&I Section).
